Thanksgiving isn’t just a marathon of eating. Thanksgiving can often be a marathon of drinking too! So, it’s important to pace yourself and your guests. For this Thanksgiving, we wanted to create a welcome drink before the meal. The Halloween spooks-a-latte was delicious, but it was very strong on the cognac. Enter the Thanks-a-Latte! By reducing the cognac, we created a crowd-pleasing starter cocktail that was easy, delicious, and saved plenty of room for all that great wine and dessert champagne (and the food, of course).

New! Listen to “Thanks-a-Latte! A Thanksgiving Cocktail” by Jocelyn Sage Mitchell on Soundcloud:

The spooks-a-latte had equal parts of cognac, a semi-sweet coffee liqueur, and a rum-based cream liqueur, along with Angostura bitters. For our thanks-a-latte, we reduced the cognac by half but retained the other elements in full. This adjustment resulted in an easy drinking and less alcoholic (by ABV standards) cocktail that was a big hit with our guests!

This Thanksgiving, we are grateful for what we have. Cheers to that!
